  • Guest user：Heritage Property of Elgin group, excellent location, Vintage furniture , classy rooms, excellent bathroom , only a bit overpriced. Must visit for who ever is planning Kalimpong. Market is very close from hotel and please have lunch outside ,as lot of options are there.
  • Guest user：We were bowled over by the beauty of this hotel, the attentiveness and pleasant demeanour of the staff, the wonderful views from the terrace and the bedroom, and the excellence of the food. We were so sad that the hotel was underoccupied, because of the fall-off in the tourist industry and the inaccessibility caused by the tragedy of the dam burst higher up the River Teesta. They really deserve to have more customers and for more foreign tourists to know about this interesting and beautiful corner of West Bengal. Come on everyone - flock to the Elgin!
  • Guest user：This hotel is such an amazing place. From the fittings, furniture etc to the elegant aura of the place. The staff we met were friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff were dressed probably as they always have been. Service was spot on, there was even a lady in the bedroom corridor who would great you and assist with anything as you came and went. The gardens are well tended and a good place to sit. A newly erected sun terrace for the views too. It's within walking distance of the town and the extensive market.

It's a peaceful sanctuary in the middle of the bustling town centre and is one of the coziest stays in this part of the country. Located brilliantly, in a popular tourist area with many shops, restaurants, and other sites, it is within walking distance of almost all of the major attractions. Sitting on the terrace, sipping on your favourite beverage, one is treated to a breathtaking view of the mountains, the landscaped gardens and Ferro, the wonderful Samoyed on the property (we didn't manage to see him though on our last trip). We couldn't recommend this property enough.
